Scars of Light

“Light does not always shine freely; sometimes it must carve its way through the shadows that contain it, resisting, transforming, but never fading.” – Vladimir Tajč

Scars of Light

In Scars of Light, light does not appear as a full blaze but as a force struggling to break through. Amid vibrant yellows and deep blues, shadows trace boundaries that try to contain it, yet also reveal its persistence.

Every scar across the canvas becomes a channel of transformation: a mark of resistance that turns into radiance. The work reminds us that light is not only clarity, but also the memory of the struggle that made it possible. As part of the Scars of the Planet series, this painting speaks of the vital force that resists, transforms, and endures, even when seemingly confined by darkness.
